Crafted from Grade 5 titanium with a brilliant black DLC (Diamond-Like-Carbon) treatment, the signature 44 mm writing slope case frames a dial characterised by two subdials forming the symbol of infinity, the one on the left indicating the power reserve and the other displaying the large date.
The date correction can be performed by simply pressing the sapphire cabochon decorating the crown, whose position at 12 o’clock avoids any accidental date correction.
At 6 o’clock, we find the flying tourbillon which makes one full rotation in one minute thus indicating also the seconds.
The Super-LumiNova coated dials are available in Blue, Green, Salmon, Turquoise, Violet and Yellow. Only 8 timepieces per dial colour will be produced.
Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback and decorated with blackened Côtes de Genève, the hand-wound Calibre 17BM06-GD beats at the frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour drawing its energy from a single barrel that ensures more than 10 days of autonomy.
Waterproof up to a pressure of 3 bar, the Bovet Virtuoso VIII Chapter Two has a price of CHF 200,000. bovet.com
